Marketing Tips

Your VA is an essential part of your Social Networking Strategy

Building an effective social networking strategy is essential for creating positive brand recognition for every company regardless of whether they operate online or are a traditional “brick and mortar” type business.

In today’s fast paced environment almost everyone researches businesses online to determine where they will eat, at what stores they will shop, or what companies can provide the services they need. They look for ease of use, prices and reliability. All of these can and should be formed by creating a business’s positive online presence.

Let’s talk about Customer Perceptions:

Perception is defined as how someone sees you and your company. Business owners who work primarily online, rely on their visual media – mainly their brand, logo and website to make the first impression, but perception management goes far beyond your logo! Your level of professionalism, how you answer the phone, how proactively you follow up, the clarity of your marketing message and your customer service levels all have an impact on how your customers perceive your company.

Thanks for Making Great Tools Google

What Would We Do Without Google

“Jimmy got a job at Google”! If you have ever seen the move “21″, you may remember Kevin Spacey’s character quoting that line in reference to a MIT college student giving up the chance to win millions gambling in Vegas by choosing a career at Google instead.  (I hear it’s a great place to work!) You can understand why when you investigate the endless free resources available for you as Virtual Assistants and, more importantly, how they can help streamline your client’s systems.

Here are a couple of my favorite Google Applications:

Streamline Your Twitter Marketing with Hootsuite.com

Can you believe that Twitter has only been in existence since March 2006? It’s still a big anomaly to some entrepreneurs which is why Social Media Virtual Assistants are in big demand. Many VA clients are looking to their VA’s for insight on how to streamline their Twitter activities. When asked which Twitter system I recommend, I always reply “why Hootsuite” of course.

5 Reasons Why You Should Consider Using Hootsuite

Client Gifting on a Budget

Modern technology is an amazing thing filled with wonderful ways to say thank you. For example, you can send a previous client a thank you e-card for their business. You can also send them birthday greetings, slide shows, and numerous other things with a click of a mouse, definitely cost-effective. But did you know that sending a personal hand written greeting card and/or gift-item via regular snail mail absolutely does wonders!

Where to Start with a Social Media Campaign???

To someone who has not thought of Facebook beyond keeping their family or friends informed of their latest adventures it is hard to comprehend how social media networks like Facebook or Twitter can possibly help their business. It is also very easy to become overwhelmed when faced with the daunting task of creating an online presence for your business. Did you know many Virtual Assistants can take care of this for you?

A Virtual Assistant can help you create a social media campaign that you can follow easily. They probably will break it down into small steps that will take that overwhelming feeling away from you.

To Blog or Not to Blog – That is the Question

Blogging has been around for many years.   But before Social Media really started to make it’s mark on the internet, many bloggers pondered on whether it was worth all the effort and agonized about the lack of readership.   Blogging had become blaze.

When Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter started to grow and become popular, every Social Media expert, class and teleseminar highly emphasized that “Content is King”, “Be Real”, “Share” and spread your brand and message virally through the internet.

Content could be in many forms – an Article, an Audio,  a Video, an eBook or a Blog!

A Social Media Contract – Necessary or Not?

It is not surprising today that many Virtual Assistants (VA’s) are asked to help streamline social marketing activities for their clients.

Which is understandable.

Just keeping on top of comments on your Facebook page, reading tid bits of information in your twitter stream and connecting on LinkedIN is enough to make anyone’s head spin. But the question that always come up is:

“To What Extent Should a VA Manage a Client’s Social Media Presence?”

15 Steps to a Successful Webinar

Webinars have multiple uses in today’s internet world. Here are just a few:

Webinars can simply be an informative talk or sales presentation, geared to converting interested parties into potential buyers (essentially moving them down your sales funnel)

Recorded webinars can be a time saving and passive income generating tool for speakers, and trainers and for those who lead workshops. These webinars are the main ingredient in on-line training courses.

Recorded webinars can also form an on-line library for small to large companies, effectively freeing employees time from tasks ranging from new employee orientation, to training

Ready, Set, Market!

Marketing is easy when you have a plan.

A marketing plan that is. It’s hard to showcase your business if you don’t have a clue what to do or when so let’s talk about creating a marketing calendar. The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to create your own personal marketing road map for 2010.

Consider where you want to focus your marketing efforts:

  • Email campaigns
  • Joint venture promotions
  • Blogging
  • Virtual blog tours
  • Article marketing
  • Social networking i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Podcasts
  • Video marketing
  • eZines/Newsletters
  • Virtual events
