Hi Tawnya,

I have received the package and am currently working on the text for my website.

There is plenty to read.

I have contacted 4 accountants close to home, not one has called me back. I also spoke with a lawyer regarding Trademark, he told me to send my logo and stuff and I haven't heard from him since mid-May. I did send a follow-up e-mail and phone call, no return on his part. Let's just say I'm not too happy about that. I'm wondering if professionals in Beloeil are interested in making money!

I do have some questions:

I want to be able to schedule appointments for clients and notice many VAs do. How do they do it virtually? Many companies use Outlook or Lotus Notes for e-mails and scheduling. I have Outlook myself. How do I do this virtually? I also wanted to know about videoconferencing, sharing folders, phone calls and faxes. How do people take calls from a different company and transfer them, etc.... For videoconferencing, is there something other than skype? Some companies will not use skype. How do we proceed?

Since I have purchased the VBSS kit, how should have access to the VAinsider Club for the next year. How do I get access? I see I can on the free forum, but if I click on the private forum, job board, etc... I do not have access. How do I activate my account?

My goal is to be a multi VA. I will offer my web designer's service via my website, my cousin's services, who's an Editor, etc.... How do I work it out? They have their fees, do I take a cut or a percentage of the total invoice, or charge a one time fee and that's it and what should that fee be?. I'm really not certain about this, but this is definitely the direction I'm taking.

I will start part-time and as soon as I get enough customers will do it full-time.

I would not mind offering accounting and legal services too via my site and would like to reach out to qualified VAs.

If reaching out to larger corporations, is there anything in particular I need to know when approaching them?

First of all, congratulations on purchasing the VBSS! There's definitely a lot to read.

As far as some of your questions, here goes...

- Trademark: Not too many VAs trademark their logo and other items, but I'm sure Tawnya can talk more about this.
- Accountant: If none of the accountants close to home will assist, maybe you should start looking for someone in a larger city near you.
- Scheduling Appointments: This all depends on how you and your client decide to set things up. I know of some VAs/clients who use TungleMe or other systems like this. Some VAs/clients just use Google calendar. It really depends on the needs of your client.
- Email: You can set up a POP3 using your clients business if they'd like you to respond with one of their emails. Then you just add it to Outlook or whatever you use.
- Faxes: There are many online fax service providers that you can use.
- Phone: If you are wanting to provide the service of answering phones for your client, you can try RingCentral. I don't offer this particular service so I'm really not sure how it's set up.
- Video Conferencing: Someone else will need to assist with this because I don't ever have a need for this, nor do my clients.
- VAinsider area: Tawnya and Danielle have been in Toronto but Danielle should be in the office this week to assist in getting you set up. You can contact her via our support system here.
- You might want to check out the multi-VA area here for answers to some of your questions.

One thing to remember is that if you're going to offer services, make sure that you can provide those services yourself, not just the VAs who will be on your team. You want to make sure you can cover things.

Thanks Patty for helping Lorie with all her questions. I've been away for a week from an Internet connection visiting relatives in Ontario country.

As for video conferencing, Skype seems to work best but there are others. We offer rooms too at VAnetworking through Talking Communities, just contact our helpdesk for info. There is also GoToWebinar and you can try it for 30 days free here.
