I need to find some Pantone Coated and Uncoated color charts I could print out on my computer to get some idea (as close as possbile) to what a printed color would look like.

I am doing some promotional stuff for the VAconference today and they want me to choose colors like pronto yet when I do and print it out, the purple I choose will be like black!

I have found a gold that prints well on uncoated which is 110u but can't find a purple. Are there charts like this online to print out?

I guess someday I am going to have to actually invest in the color tabs that printers have but they are like $300+. If anyone knows a printer who would sell their used charts, let me know this too.

So...looking for a purply/blue that would work to represent our forum color in an uncoated Pantone, any suggestions?

This will either be really cool, or the most unhelpful thing I've ever suggested. http://www.colorstrology.com has most of the pantone colors on it.

How about Veronica Pantone 18-3834 (September 6th in Colorstrology this is a dark blue/purple)
There's also Dahlia Pantone 17-3834 (September 7th this is more like the light blue/purple)

I don't do web desiginging, etc. So don't know if the way the numbers differ means the difference between coated/uncoated.

You can also get a "printers set" of those long, fanlike things here:
http://www.colorguid...oks.html#gp1201 for $89.00 which is way better than the $300 you were talkin' bout!

I also found this online http://www.cffinc.or...p...olor chart" and it may be of help as well.

http://www.demstore....tone-chart.html

http://readycareco.c...scolorchart.htm

Those may be similar or the same. Just wanted to throw out some suggestions.

Hi Tawnya here are some that might help you out as I have a PMS swatch book.
PMS 273 U or for a little more blue, 2735 U

Not sure about that 110 U though as it looks, to me, sort of puke yellow, lol (keeping in mind that what you see on your screen is not the same that will be printed and unless you have a printer that will print PMS colors, you cannot print the exact color either which is why you need a PMS swatch book). But I'm not seeing anything else that is even close so it may look alright when printed. If you want to go a little more goldish (not more yellowish) you could try either 125 U or 1245 U. If you want the actual metallic PMS colors, let me know.
