The Virtual Assistant Protection Plan (VAPP)
FINALLY -> Group insurance business protection plan
is available to all our
VAinsider Club Members!
The VA Protection Plan that delivers assurance & credibility VA’s deserve.

Why buy Virtual Assistant business insurance from us? What are we offering?
- A “Packaged” broad policy: Our plan includes professional liability AND general liability in one policy form specifically tailored to meet the needs of a Virtual Assistant. No other carrier is offering comprehensive coverage that includes both of these coverages in the same package.
- Price: Our minimum premiums start
at around $100 dollars per month on an admitted basis (no tax in most
states!). To put this in perspective, if you were to apply for ONLY
professional liability, most carriers would charge $200-300 per month
in premium for a policy that DOES NOT include the
general liability! We are confident that our program is unique because
of the pricing structure for both coverages that are not available
together in the rest of the marketplace. You can select financing
options to make payments.
- Stability: In this economy, having A+, XIII rated carrier by AM Best cannot be understated. This rating means the carrier is determined to be in a “superior” position to pay claims and has a financial size category of 1.25 to 1.5 billion dollars. Insurance is a promise industry. Our carrier is financially positioned to keep those promises when you need them most.
Price, stability, and the
innovation to combine professional liability and general liability
into one simple form makes the decision easy.
1. Professional Liability Coverage:
- Errors and Omissions Liability – Insurance coverage to cover the claims brought by defendant alleging a loss as a result of the Virtual Assistant’s mistakes.
- Explanation:
- a. Any professional has a duty or obligation to perform
in line with a standard of conduct for his or her field.
- b. Your clients can potentially sue you if they feel the professional services you rendered caused them a financial loss.
| EXAMPLE OF A CLAIM: A Virtual Assistant books a flight for a client. They book the wrong flight, and the client misses a meeting that causes them a financial loss. |
- We offer $1,000,000 per claim and in the aggregate to cover defense and indemnity relating to claims that allege a breach in professional services that causes your client a financial loss.
- REMEMBER: Client lawsuits
do NOT have to succeed to cost and bankrupt your business. DEFENSE
of claims can skyrocket to $100,000 or more.
- Having skilled professionals and a company with the assets to defend you can protect you from a devastating financial loss especially in an economy where frivolous lawsuits are rampant.
2. Independent Contractor Coverage:
(Coverage for an Independent Contractor working
on behalf of the named insured, i.e. you):
- Covers outsourced work from a third party for a fee on your behalf (must have a contract)
- Coverage also applies for W-2 employees
- $1,000,000 coverage limit
| EXAMPLE: Any professional liability claim where the policy would apply to you as an insured would be extended to the independent contractor or employee. This makes it easier for you to expand and grow your business. |
3. Attorney Support:
- Access to Loss Control Hotline
- 2 free hours of legal advice per incident
| EXAMPLE: Client
charge-backs are a big problem for Virtual Assistants. We recommend
the use of contracts in all situations prior to the rendering of
services to any third party. However, if you become the victim of
a fraudulent client charge-back, our policy will provide 2 free
hours of legal advice. |
4. Other Coverage Features:
- Off Premises Coverage - $10,000
- Definition: Business personal property
temporarily taken off-site. This is great for vacations or necessary
off-site trips.
- Business Personal Property - $100,000
- Definition: Computers, laptops, printers, scanners, fax machines, phones, and blackberries, carpet, lights or light fixtures, desks, or chairs are all examples of covered items. Any item in the home office that allows the Virtual Assistant to do business is a coverable item if it is damaged or destroyed on office premises.
- Valuable Papers and Records
- $5,000
- Definition: Inscribed, printed, or written documents. Any document the Virtual Assistant would have under their care, custody, and control.
| EXAMPLE: A Virtual Assistant loses a client document or business file in fire. It may cost $1 per page to reprint/recreate 1000s of documents. Policy will pick up the cost. |
