  1. It's really hard to get your blog post read these days. People seem to be more rushed and only really read what stands out. Fortunately, there is a tool that can help you scientifically guess whether your blog post headline will get read. (A headline is what gets them to read the next part.) You can find it here by CoSchedule which is a company that makes tools for people like us. https://coschedule.com/headline-analyzer I decided to give it a go. And it does require you to sign up. Here's the term I used: How To Build Your Website In Only One Weekend My results were: This was only an "off the cuff" headline. There are lots of headline formulas out there. There are also power words that make your headline more emotional. I'll flick a reply shortly with some resources on how you can improve your headline writing using emotional words and formulas. So why is content important and why don't we go directly for the sign up or consultation session? Content follows the natural progression of a marketing relationship. It is called the engage stage. This gives people a way to learn more about you and your expertise before they take action. It's akin to a handshake and a starter conversation. But we have to get the content read in the first place. Hope this helps! P.S. My takeaway from learning this week is that a headline is a promise that we must deliver in.
