Working with Outlook remotely

Hello -

 

First I want to say what a wonderful website and what great resources, reading the postings alone has given me so much information - thank you to all who participate!

 

My question is "do any of you have advice on the best or easiest ways to work with a client when they want you to follow up on their outlook, emails, contacts, and calendar?" I have worked as an executive assistant, office manager, and project manager for over 20 years but in the corporate world there was an IT team to set up that network - now that I am going to work from home what would be the best way to manage this?

Hi Christina,

 

I use Log Me In for just about all of my clients to access their computer. It has worked very well for me and the client feels secure with the application. You can set-up a free account, but if you want to access files and share them, then the client would need to purchase one of the packages that includes that function. There are others like GoTo My PC and GoToMeeting. Just check them out.

I agree - I use LogMeIn with all my clients. If you don't need to share files or print to your printer, then the free version is the way to go (works just like the "paid" version for seeing and controlling the host computer).
