Discounts: On or Off?

Recommended Posts

Would I say:

50% discount OFF a service

or

50% discount ON a service?

I'm thinking that saying "discount off" is redundant... but it's Saturday afternoon and, well, you know... LOL

Thanks!

Why not just say 50% off <enter name of service> and leave the word discount completely out of it?
