Discounts: On or Off?

Would I say:

 

50% discount OFF a service

 

or

 

50% discount ON a service?

 

I'm thinking that saying "discount off" is redundant... but it's Saturday afternoon and, well, you know... LOL

Why not just say 50% off <enter name of service> and leave the word discount completely out of it?
