I just came across a website that I thought I would share if anyone is looking to volunteer their time/skills. Volunteering has been found to help people live longer and happier by giving of themselves.

I remember when I first started my VA business, I had no testimonials or portfolio to show off. One way of getting it was by volunteering my services. I also learned new skills and got some on the job training.

Thanks for posting this Tawnya! I have a local client who does work for a ministry association. I do get paid but it's not my rate. I am fine with this. They do wonderful things for people. I received a wonderful testimonial from this client and she has given me more work. I am learn allot. Gave her some business cards if she should hear of anyone who needs my services.

Very useful site. I've used it in the past to get involved in different volunteer activities. Another site I frequent is www.Idealist.org. Great for finding virtual opportunities as well
