Marketing through Charity

Has anyone offered a gift certificate (or equivalent) of their services for a charity silent auction? I was thinking this might be an idea to market your business but wanted to see if others had any experience with it and if there were things to think of before just jumping in with both feet! lol

I offered one of my 10 hour packages once and it went over well with the auction side of it as there were quite a few bids on it.

 

They also allowed me to put my URL on the page itself. Usually they say donated by Tawnya Sutherland or whatever, but sometimes you can have them instead put on it donated by your domain name ie) Donated by VAnetworking.com

Ok thanks gals...I wasn't sure if anyone had done it or even if it would be good 'advertising' but I think I'll give it a try and see what happens!
