A Note From Tawnya

Have you ever volunteered your services for a good cause? If not, it's a great way to get known around your industry and to gain some valuable work experience. Not to mention, volunteering also makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

This week I brought on some new Moderators at our forum who are doing a fantastic job at keeping our networking forum a fun, safe and resourceful network for you to all enjoy. Each have their own specialty/niche that they are very well versed in. Please have a look at their forum areas next time you at our network, get to know them and pop by their links below to say hi to them.

SPOTLIGHT: THANKS to all our volunteers for giving your time to our network:

Danielle Beauchemin is the VA of all VAs and is the Administrator at our forum. She helps organize and keep our forum running smoothly with her superb customer service skills so if you need ever help with the forum, she's who you contact. (Not only that, she's my daughter too and I'm proud to see her following her mother's footsteps in the VA industry).

Allowing yourself to get excited about your tasks and encouraging yourself with a pat on the back is a great way to keep yourself motivated. TOPIC: Strategies to Grow Your Business

There will be a brief discussion on why having a target market and knowing your numbers (or at least how many clients you need) is important before you implement your strategies. A strategy is defined as “a plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.”

Having a plan of action is important so that you can determine if the strategies that you are implementing in your business are working or not. Why continue using a strategy that isn’t working?

In business we wear many hats and for many they hope that their business will find the success that will allow them to give away some of those hats to others. This class will provide you with the tools necessary to take a look at your business and determine each of those “hats”. Once we have determined all the “hats” in your business we will provide you with the tools to determine exactly what duties fall within that “hat”. Finally we will take a look at the hiring process so you have some tools to assist you when the time is right to give away some of those duties, especially the ones you dislike.

Why is resilience critical for your virtual assistant business? It’s because every VA, large or small, goes through struggles at times. It is so easy to get caught up in all the “instant success stories” about people who’ve made a million dollars overnight. When that doesn’t happen for you, it’s tempting to get frustrated and quit.
