I recently started using a Macbook Pro and just now I needed to make a small change to an HTML file. I tried opening the file in the already installed TextEdit and noticed that it doesn't load up as the actual code.

On my Windows computer I've always used the notepad for random edits, like if I had to change a link in a HTML page. It saves a lot of time instead of loading up Dreamweaver. Not to mention, I have yet to get Dreamweaver on my Macbook.

Does anyone have any recommendations on basic HTML editors that I can download onto my Mac?

Thanks!
