headset recommendation

Recommended Posts

I am interested in hearing current recommendations for headset / microphone combos. Anticipated needs include phone calls, listening to audios, and possibly recording/editing audios. Looking forward to your suggestions!

Hey Sheri!

How's it going? I used logitech as my headset for years. It is affordable and efficient.

This is the model above that I love. It has a built in mic and is great quality.

Because I recently moved into attempting to do more online course stuff, webinars and podcasts (some of still in the comings) I separated my microphone by getting a blue yeti microphone. But logitech is sufficient for the tasks you mentioned :)

Hi Mark,

Thank you for the recommendation! You piqued my curiosity so I will also have to find out what a 'blue yeti microphone' is.

I have these two that have been recommended around here quite a bit.

http://vajot.com/headset02 - I actually went to use this one the other day and it wouldn't work... The USB wouldn't sync. I was pretty upset because I've used it no more than 3 times since I've owned it. It's actually sat in it's box for 3 years. I contacted the company about it and they sent me an invoice for a replacement USB which was more than what I paid for the entire headset. Let me just say, I was less than impressed and told them no thanks.

So yeah, maybe don't go for the wireless one after my recent experience....

Thanks, Danielle! I have always had better performance from wired devices and try to stick to those. There was a wireless printer where I worked in the distant past that was very temperamental. No matter how sweetly you asked or how many times you pressed 'print' it refused to do a thing. Until, of course, sometime during the night.
