10 Minute Presentation

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I know I haven't been around for sometime now; however I'm pleased to say that i am back and trying to fire on all cylinders!

I need some help/suggestions/advice please; I attend a networking group every Wednesday morning and I think I am starting to bore the pants off everyone who has to listen to my 10 minute pitch. I believe I can see their eyes glaze over as they think 'oh not administrative tuff again'!

I have been doing the usual spiel about services that I offer, how the virtual angle really works etc. I want a change, I want to step out of my boring shoes and do something funky and away from the norm; however that is where my creative process seems to have a heart attack at the prospect of this!

Any ideas would be fantastic and very gratefully received!

Happy New Year to everyone,

Shelly

Hi Shelly,

How about sharing a success story with your audience? You would have to keep your client confidentiality, of course, but a story about how you wowed a client or saved the day for someone would give people a better (and more memorable) idea of what you do.

My thought would be about how one of the other industries that is represented in the Networking Group as been impacted by the Virtual Assitant Industry.

Might even want to talk and give hard facts on how VA's save companies thousands of dollars each year just in payroll expences.

If you have a talent of gift show people how they can use that gift in their business or personnal life.

Give a Top ten List.

I hope that helps getting your thoughts going. Great job though on noticing that you needed to change your spiel that is usually one thing that most people don't catch on too.

Best of Luck to you.

Hi Shelly,

Consider starting off by offering a free item/service. Everyone loves a freebie so you'll hopefully have eager listeners. I really do like the idea of showcasing a thriving client that has benefited from your services just because it'll bring the advantages of using a VA closer to home for your listeners.

Let us know how it goes. All the best.

Consider trying some kind of riddle or short game, or something like we did in one of the other threads on this forum with "50 Ways to Use Your VA" to the tune of "50 Ways to Lose Your Lover" or some other short medley...something fun and catchy. :) Hope this helps...
