Chris Pederick's Web Developer extension (Firefox, Flock, Mozilla, & Seamonkey) has a number of helpful troubleshooting tools. Under the Information Menu, there is an option to Display Element Information that will show an element's attributes, height, and width (calculated) without having to dig through the source code or an external style sheet. A screenshot can be found here: http://dfwvirtualassist.com/demo/toolbar.png. This extension is an excellent quality control tool!

Ros, congratulations on your new client.

Carol thank you for sharing this tool. I've been putting together a new site for myself and was having major issues with it in Firefox. I was in the process of starting again from scratch. I've downloaded this toolbar and will check it out using this toolbar and see if I can't fix it up. I've learned so much from all of you.

Thank you.

Caroline.

Hi Ros

I'm so glad it's all working for you now.

I didn't mind helping at all. I like troubleshooting things just for the fun of it - I'm a real computer geek huh?!

I knew a girl that I worked with who graduated from Purdue and she was a mathematics whiz - she liked doing algorithms for fun. Her and I had a lot in common

Congrats on your new client too!!

I just had to chime in and say wooohoooo Purdue! That's right across the river from where I live.

:)
