Outlook 2003 capability

Recommended Posts

Guest virtuallyyours16

Can I set up text message reminders thru Outlook for my client? If so, how do I do this? If not, does anyone use a text message service to remind their clients of important up coming tasks and appointments? My client is VERY interested in this service.

Hi Pam.....I saw you got no responses (unless someone sent you a PM) so I did a quick Google search. I'm not aware of Outlook 2003's capabilities but I came up with this site of calendar tools for Outlook.

HTH!! If not, you could suggest to your client that he purchase a Palm Pilot or Blackberry for each of you ;)

I'm not sure about this for regular cell phones, but I know you can sync Outlook with your Palm Pilot, Blackberry, Treo and other SmartPhones As long as you have reminders set up in Outlook, the reminder will go off in your Palm or whatever. I don't know about actual text message though. Keep us posted if you find out more.

Thanks Kirstie and Terry! I'm going to check into both of your suggestions further and see what I come up with. I'll post it if I find it would be helpful to others. Thanks for your responses!

Pam, I wanted to let you know that I just reviewed an Outlook add-on with the capability to send reminders to cell phones, etc. You can read about it here.

Thanks Kirstie! I was just on the phone with my client and we were discussing how we could go about this. I'm eager to get started.

I just found another service that may help if Outlook can't do it the way you want.

http://www.toodledo.com

Register for the account (it is free). You will get instant access! After you are in, click on Connections on the left.

They have all the different things you can do to send reminders via cell phone.

Hope it helps,

Anita
