Guest Lily E Chambers CPS

I host with GoDaddy and set up my website using their templates. I got frustrated a few times and their customer service talked me through the problems immediately!

A great way to be found by the search engines is to post in the "service" section of Craigs List - my website was picked up w/in 2 days. I have also placed "free ads" on merchant circle, local.com, etc. and they all added to my website being picked up quickly. Be sure and "name" your pages (I was told to put Virtual Assistant in the names) and add meta tag keywords to your website. The other suggestion I was given is to add <h> </h1> tags to the primary headers on my first page - this also helps the search engines pick up on your webpage.

Bonjour,

I am pretty much at the same point you are now Amy. I have been researching like mad trying to find a decent "web hoster", and friendly user package to build my website.

As some of these kind ladies here have sugested, (and I really recommend), I have all of my notes on paper, ready to go and type. I have also decided what kind of design I want etc.

This has taken a big worry of my shoulders. ...

I am now at the point of registering my cie, finding a second phone line, moving the furniture around in my very small office, updating some of my programs.. etc. ect. ect.

Oh yes, and let's not forget, finaly making up my mind on the name of the cie

You will make it!

Best of luck

Elenora

Hi Amy,

I have been trying to decide on what to do about getting my website up and running also and it was suggested to me to look at these sites. www.homestead.com and Freewebs.com. Due to the fact I don't know anything about website making and I can't afford to pay someone to create me a site and then they will won't you to have them maintain it.

Don't know if these two site will help but thought I would give them to you anyway.

Good Luck

Hello,

I'm working on my website also. I'm using SBC Smallbusiness. It's easy and user friendly. The have selected templates. I recommend you create everything in word and copy and paste it. I'm in Chicago so you might have to use another carrier. :D
