  1. Ever wonder why marketing to EVERYONE doesn’t work? Do you struggle with which marketing method might work best for the type of client you desire? How does figuring out our perfect client work? Why not find out the answers to these questions, and more, by participating in my next Elite Virtual Assistance Insider call on Wednesday, August 19th beginning at 7:00 PM, EASTERN where I’ll be interviewing long-time VA, Cheryl Allin of VirtuAllin (www.virtuallin.com) on the topic of Marketing to the Clients you WANT? If you’re like me, you’ve probably attracted a client or two who didn’t quite fit your practice, but because we always want to help, and we struggle with saying, ‘no’, they crept on to our client list and proceeded to wreak havoc. Firing a client is probably one of the hardest things to do, so instead, we’re going to help you market to the RIGHT clients for you. You’ll also get a chance to ask me and Cheryl any question about your business, and marketing, or anything that might be causing you a challenge in moving your business forward. Mark your calendar for Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 beginning at 7:00 p.m. EASTERN. You also get a CD of the session and a transcript – so you can check back anytime you need a refresher, or if you can’t make the live call. You also have an opportunity to speak to me one-on-one about your business. Don’t miss it! Registration is required – go to: http://vabizcoach.com/free-test-drive.html The Elite VA Insider is a group coaching concept like no other. It’s a fresh perspective on how to positively grow the business you’ve always wanted to have. We inspire and motivate you to do what’s needed to stay accountable to yourself and the growth and profitability of your business. It’s business know-how on steroids! This group coaching program is for established Virtual Assistants (VAs) only. We work with top-notch VAs, who have been in the trenches and know what it takes to run and grow a profitable business. Our teleseminars do not include any sales pitches nor do they encourage you to purchase an upgrade, participate in any other cost-based program, or just give you vague and incomplete information like so many of the FREE teleseminars do. We ask you to make a $19.95 investment for a 2-month trial to cover the expenses of the CD/Transcript and shipping/handling, just to show you the power of what we have to offer. That’s only $9.98 per month. You probably spend more than that each month for a couple of lattes. Isn’t it time you made an investment in making your business more profitable? Take the plunge, give us a try: http://vabizcoach.com/free-test-drive.html If you join in time for the August session, you’ll also be able to participate in the September session where we’ll be talking about Eliminating Your Competition with Cathryn Jones of Assistants for Agents (www.assistants4agents.com). You have excellent skills and great products and services to offer your clientele, what we do is help you to establish and grow the business aspects that you need to take those skills and turn them into profits. If you’re feeling a bit of a pinch in today’s economy, NOW is the time to take action. Don’t complain about the recession if you haven’t invested in yourself and your business. Register TODAY: http://vabizcoach.com/free-test-drive.html Hope you can make the call!
  2. Tawnya and Candy are right on the money - you have to be honest and only provide information based on your experience. Always a tough situation, but yes, you should respond, and you would be as honest as you can without being mean - who knows, they may not use the testimonial/reference, but it may enlighten them on the way they work and how they might improve their experience with others. We can only hope!
  3. Congratulations, Jackie - Not only is it the HOTEST topic for marketing right now, but you can also use it to propel your own business...you go, girl! Wishing you all the best of success...
  4. Hi, Beth - Thanks for contacting me. The first session (completed end of April) the classes were from 7:00 - 8:30 PM Eastern. This current group was a bit smaller (only four people) and they wanted to meet earlier - so this 10-week program is being done from 3:30 - 5:00 PM Eatern, which seems to work pretty well since all of the attendees are doing their VA business full-time. Both classes were held on Thursday's, which seems to be a good day of the week for everyone. I will most likely look at that 3:30 - 5:00 PM time slot again for the September class, unless there are several attendees who are still working in the corporate world and may need an alternate schedule - so I guess to answer your question, we're flexible. Hope this helps. Jeannine
  5. Do you have a part-time practice looking to go full-time? Are you sitting on the fence trying to decide if having your own business is the right choice? Do you have an established VA practice but feel unorganized or just want a kick-start to try and grow your business? Have you been struggling this year wondering how everyone else is doing so well? The Business Essentials Teleclass for a Virtual Assistance Practice may be perfect for you. This 10-week program (60-90-minutes per week) is designed to take you step-by-step through the process of starting or growing your VA practice. Utilizing the wildly successful book, Entrepreneurial Freedom, (www.entrepreneurialfreedom.com) and its companion workbook, you’ll quickly see how it will allow you to formulate your ideas, plans, and dreams. Beyond the scope of knowledge covered in each Chapter, you’ll also have access to the results of our VA survey, and sample documents and contracts. Everything you’ll need to get your small business off the ground and/or growing in the right direction. Each week we will go in-depth covering all the information in each Chapter, assist you in developing your workbooks, and there will even be two sessions completely devoted to Q&A. More and more people are looking at starting their own business as a viable option. Virtual Assistance is one of the fastest growing industries around, and offers incredible freedom to build a real income. With a lot of hard work and good business skills, you CAN create a profitable business. I’ve owned and operated my own VA practice for more than eleven years. About two years into it, I was ready to throw in the towel and go back to corporate America. Luckily, someone I had done sub-contractor work for told me something incredible…she told me not to give up. She said that I did great work, had wonderful skills and that I really presented myself very professionally. And so I didn’t give up, I did whatever was necessary to become successful. I’ve taken all those mistakes I made, and all those lessons learned, and with the use of my co-authored book, created a 10-week program to start and grow your OWN successful Virtual Assistance Practice. The Business Essentials Teleclass for a Virtual Assistance Practice is underway. Our current class will be completed in late August. Now is the time to consider taking the plunge and signing up to participate in our next 10-week Teleclass, beginning September 17th, and continuing through November 19th. Find out more and register here: <a href="http://vabizcoach.com/starters.html" target="_blank">http://vabizcoach.com/starters.html</a>.'>http://vabizcoach.com/starters.html</a>. We have a limited number of people allowed per class to keep the sessions cozy and filled with the individual time you’ll want and need. So, don’t wait! Still not convinced? Want MORE? How about 2-EZ installments? And…we lowered our course pricing $100 – plus, if you’re a member of IVAA, you are eligible to enjoy an additional 20% Preferred Partner discount. How about some BONUSES? In addition to receiving a copy of the Entrepreneurial Freedom book and workbook (shipped to you two weeks prior to the class start date), every person who signs up and completes the program will also receive: • Free 30-minute private coaching session with Jeannine (a $150 value) • Free marketing plan strategy session 60-days after program completion (a $75 value) • Free follow-up 90-minute Q&A phone session with your class 90-days after program completion (a $225 value) • Free copy of my CD, “What’s Holding Back My Business Success?” (a $24.95 value) • Free 2-month trial in Jeannine’s Elite Virtual Assistance Insiders after program completion (a $194 value) • 20% discount on Jeannine’s One-on-One Coaching program (a $400 value) Don’t let another day go by without investing in your business success! 7. HI, Erin - The EthicsChecked exam is very difficult - I always suggest some reading prior to taking the test, and if for some reason you don't pass on your first try, please do NOT think you are unethical - it doesn't mean that at all. I think it's good that the exam is difficult - makes having the designation much more powerful. I was the person who created the study guide so I can give you a little background on what it covers. Because the exam is so difficult, we found that there were questions that people got wrong most often - there were nine of them that we identified. We designed the study guide to specfically cover those nine areas in more detail to help you make the best choice on the exam...I also provided a list of the books that I used in my research for creating the old ethics exam, and the basis for my speaking engagements on the topic. Hopefully you will find some of those helpful, and there are others you'll find, too. The exam covers not only professional (business) but personal ethics, and I think that's where people stumble a lot - the exam was created by three Ethics professors, two from the US, and one from Canada - and they all felt (as I now do) that there should be no difference - you're either ethical in all aspects of your life, or not - so sometimes when we get to the questions that deal with more personal issues, we hesitate making the most ethical choices because we don't feel the same about ourselves personally as we do professionally, or we feel that there is some separation between the two - there really isn't. If I can answer any specific questions for you, please dont hesitate to connect with me - and best of luck! <img src="http://www.vanetworking.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I'll bet you're going to do GREAT! 8. Kathie - Absolutely incredible photos - looks like you really kept on the go throughout the trip. I am so glad you had the opportunity to turn your FoVA speaking engagement into such an enjoyable adventure. Your photography could certainly be another business for you (like you need another business - LOL) - I could almost smell the roses and hear the birds chirping. We were fortunate enough to go whale watching in Hawaii several years ago and I know how incredible that is - I'm thrilled your timing was right to enjoy it. Thanks so much for sharing. It was so great to meet you after all these years. Jeannine
