I recently started my business back up again and I am in the process of working part time right now until I can work my way into fulltime once again. My hope is to once again remove myself from the corporate world. My speciality has been to work with Real Estate agents however more recently I learned that Life Coaches are in a high demand for VA services. I would like to branch out to this industry and plan to do so gradually. I am currently working with a life coach once a week and I love it!! I highly recommend it to anyone as a form of communication/therapy/counselling and to assist you with any decisions that you may be faced with or even to just touch base on personal or professional issues. My work experience consists of but is not limited to: - online training - meeting and event organization - PowerPoint creation - document/template design - Excel worksheet design - Website design/maintenance - Social Media maintenance On a personal note I live in Midland, Ontario, Canada and have for most of my life. I have never been outside of Canada but my dream would be to travel more. I have 4 beautiful children; my oldest son is 24, twin boys that are 20 and a 19 year old daughter. I have often thought about moving to Alberta but would like to wait until my children are more settled. It may sound silly but I think we all still need each other. I am currently living with my soulmate; his name is Jason and we are lucky to have found each other. I believe that everything happens for a reason and we connected the night and time that we did in a perfect way and this is a love that will last a lifetime! We have been together for 2.5 years and I am hoping that he will propose sooner than later... I will keep you posted on this. My current interests involve being outdoors as much as I possibly can. The winters here last more than 6 months and the 2013/14 winter season was very hard on all of us. We had more snow than we could get rid of and the cold kept us indoors more than we needed to be. I have a huge yard with lots of gardens and though weeding is not my favorite thing to do, I do enjoy being out in the yard. I I first learned about VA Networking when I had my first VA business.   20. Hello everyone: I'm not exactly "new" to the VA world - (I've been running my business for more than 10 years), and I joined this forum in 2008, but I haven't been around for awhile. I was too busy with clients to do any networking or even visit the forum. But no more! Yes, I still have plenty of work to do...but I've re-prioritized and finally allowed myself to get my own VA, so I can get back to running MY business, too! So, I wanted to re-introduce myself: I started MySavvyVa.com in 2002, after working for over 15 years in the corporate, C-Level environment. At that time, I received an opportunity to do my work from home and I saw future opportunities for helping other executives, entrepreneurs and small business owners at a fraction of the cost of hiring an in-house employee. Effective, Reliable and Efficient Administrative Support and Online Business Management is my forte, but graphic design is my passion. I'm just finishing up my degree in Graphic Design and I couldn't be happier about that. I'm a very creative person, so allows me to include all of that creative energy in my work. I'm also an avid organizer. Whether it's organizing a closet or organizing a client's business - it's all a creative process to me! I know this may sound odd to some of you, but a client recently came to me with difficulty in organzing their affiliate commission payments. They had no system or structure - it was a mess. This was heaven to me - to be able to set up that structure and organization, and get it up an running like a well-oiled machine. I love this stuff!   21. Hello all!! I would be the new kid on the block! My name is Karryn, I am happily married for nearly 8 years now, I have two grown kids, and 3 amazing grand kids. I have actually had my VA business for a long time but I've been off doing other adventurous things and those things have keept me away for far too long! So ... now I'm back and with flair!! I've recently revamped my va business and combined it with business coaching and consulting. My goal is to run my va business so that I can help other women like myself get started in a business of their own, doing so by outsourcing to them through an internship program I am in the middle of developing.   23. Dropping by to say hello to everyone! I am looking forward to 'meeting' you. My name is Abby, I am work full time as an office manager in the construction field in NYC but am branching off to do some virtual assistant work. I have been divorced for awhile, am a single mom with sole custody of 2 teenagers and am in a long distant relationship with a really awesome guy from New Hope, PA. Figured its time for me to start making some long term goals for myself since my big 4-0 birthday lurks in early 2014. eeks.... I am currently setting up my virtual assistant service under the guise of the NYC Biz Chick. That is the name of my blog, my Facebook page and my Twitter. I am still in the process of getting oriented with setting up my VA service by doing all of the preliminary work of reading post after post to learn from others. That's the best way to learn...seriously. I lived in Atlanta for a few years at one point and had a small internet based business down there and learned most of what I needed to know just by networking, blogging and reading of others work. I hope that I will be able to share my own trials and tribulations as I go along. Anyway, I expect to align myself as more of an administrative assistant type of virtual assistant. Although I have a degree in Studio Art, it is in the fine arts, not digital media, so I won't be marketing myself as a creative assistant. I would like to broaden my horizons to expand to that by taking some classes but right now, I have to bank on what I know: customer Service, basic accounting/bookkeeping, data entry, correspondence, taxes, payroll, etc. Thanks for reading and I look forward to meeting you!
