Hi all! I've been kicking myself in the butt for the past few months trying to decide if I wanted to start a blog or not. I've written a few posts and have them scheduled to start posting in June but I'm getting cold feet. I'm not 100% sure that I'll be fully committed to keeping a decent flow of posts going. So I'm wondering, has anyone made posts via LinkedIn? To what extent could I turn that into a makeshift blog, for lack of a better term? In my mind, LinkedIn is 95% professional and 4.9% personal (0.01% other). So for a post about why I got started in the VA world (which includes my freedom from obligatory pants-wearing), I can't really envision sharing that on LinkedIn. Any input on that? Or confusion? I tend to ramble. ~Aiyana
I just terminated contract with a client today. She was Spastic, sporadic and inconsistent with her communication. I "fired" the same client last year and foolishly agreed to work with her again after she apologized and took responsibility for the last episode. After a very trying last few weeks, I just couldn't take it anymore. After I sent her the termination this was her reply "I am certainly ready to give your review on linkedin now. you do not make the effort to work thru the differences, take responsibility and focus on possibility." None of those things are true. I tried to accommodate her in every way and requested very clear and concise instructions to which I received no response several times. My question is, if and when she does give me a negative review on LinkedIn what are my options? Is there a way to request it be removed? Live and Learn I guess. She is an Amazon Merchant and sent me a product a few weeks ago, so today after all this I gave her a stellar 5* review. I figured the best recourse was "killem with kindness" so to speak.
Hi all, I am providing Virtual Assistant services. I created Facebook fanpage, Twitter and Linkedin. I have questions that what kinds of content that I will post on Social Media? And how to distribute the content: how many percents for Virtual Assistant services, how many percents for other information? Thank you,
Hi all, quick tip about LinkedIn invitations: never ever use the default message that LinkedIn gives you "I'd like to add you to my professional network on LinkedIn." It's too impersonal and basically says: "I just invited 200 people to join my network and you were number 56". No, but seriously. Don't you prefer to get an invitation that says something like "Hi Sarah, Just read your blog post and would love to connect here on LinkedIn". I would connect with a person who sent me that invitation for sure, but would not connect with the same person who just sent me the default message. I know many people think that LinkedIn is boring and too impersonal. I disagree and really think that you can personalize it. I would be happy to connect with you on LinkedIn (if you send me a personalized invite :-)
