Hello! I am learning about this awesome business, being a Virtual Assistant. I have done editing, proof reading, article writing, transcription of audio files, making and cancelling appointments, and Rep Management. I know theres so much more for me to learn. This is a passion of mine and I am looking forward to learning from all of you.
Hello! I signed up for your Virtual Assistant Career 30 day program a couple of months ago & then life got in the way. I'm back & raring to go. My name is Mary. I live in central Connecticut. Anyone else out there form Connecticut, by chance?
Hello! Last time I tried starting a virtual admin business, I got hired at a price I could not turn down. But it seems that in the near future there may be a need to start branching out on my own again. The hazards of following Husband's career to a much more promising locale for him. I have worked alot with Government, mostly smaller Govt in Washington state over the last 8 years. I am very familiar with the State's unique BARS (Budgeting & Accounting Reporting System) used by the State of Washington. And the State Auditor's Annual Reporting requirements. With my current employer I was able to learn the functions of Human Resources, which was the only part of the Office manager aspects I felt I needed more experience. I currently manage a $2.7 million dollar budget annually, process payroll for 23 employees (varying from exempt /non exempt/ union) and provide orientation and processing for new volunteers as well. I also provide duties as the District Secretary to the Board of Commissioners, and act as the liason between the Commissioners/Chief and legal counsel. Oh, almost forgot! I also process the Ambulance Transport Billing to the billing agency, ensuring we have all the proper documents to be paid. I actually love my job, but my husband's job will eventually move me out of the county and too far away. This will be a slow transition (for me, not him) so I have some time to plan and make sure I get this right. I don't want to be floundering or second guessing myself from the get go. I am sure you will see plenty of questions from me in the next few months. Thanks! Brandy
