  1. Hello, everybody! Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. Just thought I'd quickly introduce myself and give a bit of background. I'm a young, recent college graduate from Florida State University where I received my degree in Hospitality Management. I've worked from the lowest line-level employee at a staff restaurant to management in a 4-star hotel but have decided that the work-life balance of physically working in Hospitality is not healthy for me. So instead of working as an employee of a resort or the like I've decided to offer them services virtually. I'm focusing on small-business hospitality, specifically social media and marketing, but will do whatever tasks required. I also have experience in travel blogging and am offering the same services to travel bloggers as well. If you all have any suggestions or ideas, or know anyone looking for the services I'm providing, anything is appreciated!   2. Hey everyone! I hope you're doing great! So I've taken a lot of advice on how to find clients (I'm completely new with no existing clients) and one I find intriguing is joining facebook and linkedin groups of your target market so you can easily directly talk to them. So I've done that (one of my main targets is travel bloggers) but I'm not quite sure how to say to them that I'm offering my services without being spammy and risk getting kicked out of the group. Most of the groups are just about bloggers helping each other out with post likes and sharing articles. Are there any techniques you all have used that tend to work well? Thanks in advance! Jack Hamm
  3. Hello from California I am new to VA Networking and excited to get started on my new business. My VA name is CJ Adminologist and you can read more about me at www.Adminologist.com. Last September I decided to retire when the company I worked for close down the business. At that time I thought to myself… I’m not young, and I’m not old, but I am the perfect age to start a Virtual Assistant business! My career as an Executive Assistant began 35 years ago. I am a native of California, but no one had heard of Silicon Valley at that time (it hadn’t been birthed yet!). But my first exposure to the high tech industry was working for a small telecommunications company. I learned a lot and continued with this career and provided support to leadership teams of various high tech companies since then. It’s been interesting, stressful, demanding, and sometime even provocative! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is where I was born, raised, went to school, married, and worked. Unfortunately, I am now divorced without children. I love animals dearly and believe in adoption. Currently I share my home with two lovely (but very naughty) cats; Harlow and Cici-Simone are Brother and Sister. My hobbies are photography, and hunting for antiques. I also like decorating and gardens. I am excited to join my new VA Networking business team and am open to suggestions, corrections, recommendations and making new friends.
