  1. Hi, I just joined here. My name is Jovie Belarmino-Sison, 27-year-old virtual assistant, with 5 years of experience in providing technical and customer support for companies based in US, Australia, UK and Middle East. I handled various functions of Customer Service, from dealing with dissatisfied customers to answering phone calls. I learned to hone my decision-making, multi-tasking and time-management skills, value patience, ability to listen and communicate, and above all, being a team player. I have also won several awards for my exceptional performance in solving customer problems and forming new customer relations that resulted 20% increase in over-all customer's satisfaction in our site. I got married this year, 2019. Me and my husband decided that I should work from home instead of working in the office. The reason behind is our passion to serve God, make our lives simple and maximize our time for ministry work. Now, as a freelancer, I'm flexible, willing to learn, can easily adapt to different systems and will fully familiarize myself with the product in order to provide the best possible support to you and your customers. You can also check out my services that I offer: https://joviebelsison.wixsite.com/freelancerjovie/services
  2. My name is Cindee Houk, and a couple of months ago, I decided to make a significant change in my life after over 27 years in the health insurance industry. I was so stressed out for such a long time, and my health and well-being were suffering. Suddenly finding myself 50 years old, I didn't want to continue living this lifestyle. That was when I decided to make a change. I did a lot of research into careers I could do at home. Not wanting to work with insurance any longer, I thought of how I could use my skills to make a living. I stumbled upon Virtual Assistance. After researching this field and telling others about my idea, I realized there is a considerable need for these services. Just by telling people I know, I have already received several prospects. Since my job required a lot of long hours, I decided to take a risk and quit my job. It's scary, but I know I will be successful and it's much less terrifying than the thought of being unhealthy. I created Virtual Assistance by Cindee, and my services include Social Media Management, Social Media Ads, Writing/Proofreading, Administrative Services, and graphic design. I'm so excited as these are all things that I love to do, and my job will never be tedious or stressful. My website is in the process of being created and will be up and running soon. I reside in Roseville, California, and am the mother to an awesome grown-up son who travels the world. My favorite things to do are riding bikes, reading lots and lots of books, traveling, and going on long walks. I'm also a Gonzaga Men's Basketball fan as well as a NASCAR fan! While taking a virtual assistance class by Kayla Sloane, I found VA Networking. I am looking forward to obtaining resources to help me with my business as well as meeting others who share my passion for Virtual Assistance.
  3. I have to look fo a job aside of my virtual assistance business til I can find more clients. Should I include my experience in my resume or is that a whole new resume of its own? Jason
  4. Hello All, I am new to the forum, i have been working virtually for the last 8 years. Started from telemarketing, after becoming a giant seller I started my own local business to utilize my selling skills. Along my own business I started as a VA with a third party and served many clients as a Customer Service Rep for their customers. Moving on finally I met a CEO and have been working for quite a while for him as his Executive Virtual Assistant for a US company. I am a Mechanical Engineer as per my academic career, my early schooling was in London. Later I moved to Pakistan and continued studies here. Now I am planning to move on, I am looking to setup my own Virtual Assistant business. Looking forward to your suggestions. Open for proposals, ideas and partnering. Cheers,
  5. My sister in law wants to work as a va really bad. Shes great at clerical work, spreadsheets, etc. Does anyone have any idea where she can advertise herself or does anyone have work she can do? Jason
  6. I have worked for a few clients now and I am now looking for new clients aside from the one I have now. I have a letter drafted up asking for referrals. Should I email this letter to my former clients or snail mail it to them? Jason

  8. Hello, I am Karen Rice-Scott and I am new to the VA world. I am looking for an opportunity to assist in virtual Accounting. I have worked in Accounting and Bookkeeping positions for over 12 years and would like to transition home where I can have flexibility in my schedule and lower the costs associated with working outside the home. I have experience in Accounts Payable, Receivable, General Ledger, and non-profits. I would appreciate input on what the best way to go about forming collaborations.

  10. Yours Virtually by Tammy L. Lorette Located in Midland, Ontario, Canada http://www.yours-virtually.ca/ https://www.facebook.com/#!/yoursvirtually.bytammy I have been in the VA business for more than 12 years however I went back to the corporate world 10 years ago. I recently started my business back up again and I am in the process of working part time right now until I can work my way into fulltime once again. My hope is to once again remove myself from the corporate world. My speciality has been to work with Real Estate agents however more recently I learned that Life Coaches are in a high demand for VA services. I would like to branch out to this industry and plan to do so gradually. I am currently working with a life coach once a week and I love it!! I highly recommend it to anyone as a form of communication/therapy/counselling and to assist you with any decisions that you may be faced with or even to just touch base on personal or professional issues. My work experience consists of but is not limited to: - online training - meeting and event organization - PowerPoint creation - document/template design - Excel worksheet design - Website design/maintenance - Social Media maintenance On a personal note I live in Midland, Ontario, Canada and have for most of my life. I have never been outside of Canada but my dream would be to travel more. I have 4 beautiful children; my oldest son is 24, twin boys that are 20 and a 19 year old daughter. I have often thought about moving to Alberta but would like to wait until my children are more settled. It may sound silly but I think we all still need each other. I am currently living with my soulmate; his name is Jason and we are lucky to have found each other. I believe that everything happens for a reason and we connected the night and time that we did in a perfect way and this is a love that will last a lifetime! We have been together for 2.5 years and I am hoping that he will propose sooner than later... I will keep you posted on this. My current interests involve being outdoors as much as I possibly can. The winters here last more than 6 months and the 2013/14 winter season was very hard on all of us. We had more snow than we could get rid of and the cold kept us indoors more than we needed to be. I have a huge yard with lots of gardens and though weeding is not my favorite thing to do, I do enjoy being out in the yard. I I first learned about VA Networking when I had my first VA business. I am so happy that I am still able to utilize the services offered and hope to grow my VA business moving forward. Thank you and I hope to hear from you all really soon!! I will be in touch... Yours-Virtually, Tammy

Always better late than never. I offer all kind of tech support ranging from poor PC performance to any software issues. A list of other services are mentioned below: Administrative Assistance Internet Research Graphic Designing Internet Marketing Document and Spreadsheet formatting Website Designing and Development Website Administration Social Media Marketing Social Media Management Email Management Many more... 12. Since joining, I have read various messages concerning VA's utilizing others to assist with the work flow. As a newbie to the field of Virtual Assistance, I think that it would be quite advantageous to work for an established VA office. My question is, how do you go about finding other VA's in need of backup support? If anyone is interested in using the skills of another VA, I will glad provide my resume. For VA's living in the U.S., an advantage which I can offer you is my ability to work the hours which might be your after hours. Living in the United Kingdom, our time is flipped. For the most part, your mornings would be the U.K.'s afternoons or evenings. With Appreciation, Catherine Terry http://www.islecameaux.com/
