  1. All right, all right, I'm in. I will commit to walking for 30 minutes a day. Woohoo!! -Becki
  2. I use Cloudmark which integrates directly with Outlook and I love it (they also have a version that integrates with Express). I found that I was missing out on opportunities by using SpamArrest and another one that I can't remember the name of because of the verification process, so I switched. This software is fabulous and I rave about it any chance I get.
  3. Congratulations!!! He is a cutie!
  4. Is the View New Posts option only available to VA Insiders? I am getting an error message stating that I am not a VA Insider. :-(
  5. You can always create a password protected directory on your website utilizing the .htaccess file.
  6. Welcome! Where in Pennsylvania are you located?
  7. I use both Skype and Vonage. My personal preference for most calls is Vonage because there are times that Skype's connection is less than clear and I feel like I'm in a tunnel...plus I like the ability to move freely throughout my house without being tied to a computer. I do have a Skype cordless phone, but if I go more than 20-25 feet from the receiver then I lose the call.
  8. Before I make a recommendation, what is your client selling and how much of it (quantity)? Physical product, teleclasses, ebooks, services, etc.?
  9. As others have mentioned, the only thing I don't care for is the automatic .docx formatting. You are able to download a plugin from Microsoft that will allow older versions to read the new formatting, but it is clunky and doesn't always install properly on each computer system. So if you are going to upgrade I would take the suggestion of saving the documents in the .doc format.

    Vonage

I love Vonage and don't have any issues currently. However about two years ago I was experiencing issues similar to yours and I found out that there was a short in the router. I returned the router and received a new one and the issues were gone.
  11. I think that this is a pretty cool feature. But I think I still like Feedburner.com a little bit better even though I too would like a drop down like yours. The reason why I like Feedburner is because I can keep track of how many people are subscribing to my blog(s) feed and what method they're using to read it.
  12. I am a smoker who wants to quit. I have quit in the past only to light up again about a year or two later. Yvonne - I really like the idea of the jar...that's something I can get behind!!
  13. Akismet all the way. As someone who has used both Spam Karma and Akismet for both myself and clients, I find Akismet to be more powerful and on target.

    VOIP?

I use Vonage and love them to death! But I do have a back up landline and I use Skpye occasionally for voice chats.
  15. Where exactly do you want them? Within a post or "page"? Do you want it to appear on each page of the blog?
  16. Your artwork is absolutely breath-taking. I am constantly amazed by your talent!
  17. I KNOW! If we could all be so lucky!
  18. I would stay away from the default WP template Kubrick...there are some bugs with it. Try Google-ing wordpress themes or free wordpress themes....there is a wide selection available. I would install the Adsense Deluxe plug-in (http://www.acmetech.com/blog/adsense-deluxe/) which will allow posts to contain Adsense. If you just want it along the sidebar, you just insert the code, no plug-in necessary. Same goes with images...just add the code to the side bar.
  19. Yes each client will need to purchase a copy of GoToMyPC. The software is downloaded and placed on a host computer (ie. yours) and you can invite others to your system. The client will need to have a copy on their host (their PC) and then they can in turn invite you to use their computer.
  20. Angela did an awesome job with this ebook. It is a fabulous guide for newbies and a must read for those new to networking online. 5 thumbups
  21. Before you make a firm decision have you visited both the Chamber and BNI (most areas have more than one BNI group so visit multiple)? Let each know that you are interested in coming as a guest before you make a decision to join...both organizations usually allow you to attend X number of events as a guest before you make a decision. Know that networking takes time. Just evaluate which group has more of what you are looking for. If both groups are great, then make an educated decision about which one to join first. Once you gain a few clients from one then join the other.
