  1. I have my cell phone on my business cards and website. The main reason is that we were planning on moving and I wanted to have continuity. I have received an invite to Google Voice, which I may use instead.
  2. I have been working on defining my niche for awhile. I have over 10 years experience in the insurance industry and I am currently licensed in seven states. Is anyone familiar with a niche in that field? I have worked in the claims, sales, and customer service side of insurance. I am wondering how to best market those services to agents, I do not want to do sales calls, but I may consider making calls to set appointments. Your advice is very much appreciated! Thanks, Shante'
  3. I'm happy I found this thread. I do have business cards, but I think it would add the icing on the cake if I could immediately pull out a brochure of my services or some other printed marketing material. I will start working on that this weekend.
  4. Great Blog Diana! It had a lot of useful information about Twitter.
  5. Great Contest! I learned a lot about VAnetworking.com. If I did not participate in the contest I'm sure I would have missed some valuable information.
  6. Hello Beth! That is a great brochure. I'm assuming you have already given your neighbor the brochure, but I agree with the other ladies a brochure and business card would work great.
  7. Thanks for the advice. I have picked a name and I have had to see my daytime job a necessary step to becoming full-time in my VA business. Right now I work on the VA business in the evenings and the weekends. Once in awhile when I'm at my day job my mind wanders and I have to jot down notes for my business , but I think that will happen until I become a VA full time
  8. I will start with one Twitter account for my business. Since I am starting my business, I figure that one twitter account will be more than enough.
  9. For those of you who have worked a full-time job or are currently working a full-time job while you start your VA business; do you find it hard to concentrate during your day job? I'm so excited and I have absorbed so much information sometimes it's hard for me to focus as work. Maybe once I have my company name and business plan complete, my mind will simmer down at work.
  10. My name is Shante'. I have over 10 years of customer service experience and 3 years of experience as an administrative assistant. I have joined VAnetworking.com to learn about the business of becoming a Virtual Assistant. I have 3 children and I am looking for a career where I am able to make my own hours and manage my family. I have two daughters 7 years old and 20 months old and one son who is 5. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and starting my business as a VA.
