  1. Jodie, JetBlue is another great airline that goes to Las Vegas with no baggage fees. Patty Marino Virtual Partners
  2. Candy, I'm new in the business and wondered what system you are currently using now that six years have passed. Or, what would be the best for me starting out, not knowing Quickbooks. Someone suggested the Dome handwritten book, but I've been working with Excel for years and just can't see putting numbers down manually. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you, Patty P Marino Virtual Partners 32-759-3520
  3. Maria and Michelle - Question 1 - Try this tutorial. Have him sign big and use a felt-tipped or similar "thicker" pen for best results. I've gotten the best results with an Ultra-Fine Sharpie marker (NOT a sharpie pen - not thick enough). Question 2 - Short answer is no. There are some software programs that claim do be able to do this, such as this and this. I haven't personally used either of these programs, so I can't vouch for them. Plus, they seem to be fairly expensive. Ultimately, it's going to depend on how deep his pockets are and how attached he is to that PDF. Let me know if you have other questions. Amanda, That's great information. Thank you. Can you tell me how you get the link in using 'try this' instead of the actual link name. Thanks again. Patty P Marino Virtual Partners Patty, When you're typing a reply and you want to put in a link, press the "link" button (next to the yellow smiley face on the post editor) and it will pop up a little box that says "url" and "link text." Oh, that's easy. Thank you Amanda. Patty P Marino Virtual Partners

  5. Go for it, Amanda. With your energy and enthusiasm, you can't go wrong!! Patty P.
  6. Thank you, Ruth. I'll give it another try. Patty Patty, Are you still looking for assistance on mail merge? I have written directions on how to do it and can forward them to you if you send me your email address. What version of Word do you use? Darlene Dionne Thanks so much Darlene. That would be a blessing! Patty P
  7. Sounds like you really do like it then. Thanks very much for your input!
  8. Patty, Have you used appointment quest? Patty P.
  9. Thank you, Ruth. I'll give it another try. Patty
  10. Hi Ruth, That's what I tried but doesn't seem to be working. What is the process in Word to configure, organize, review, and print the mailing labels. Thank you, Patty
  11. Kathy, What about just 'sorting' the names and putting them into their respective folders on a weekly (or so) basis. I know that's an extra step, but at least you'll know you're capturing all of them. Patty P
  12. Happy New Year to All... Does anyone know the trick of making address labels on Excel, using an address list in Excel. I'd also like to know the easiest way to do it in Word. The best we have found is to type each label individually on the New Document, but I know there's a better way. I've even asked a few admins at work and they didn't know... but I know we have some experts out there!! Thanks so much for any help. Patty P
  13. It's nice to know you're just 2 hrs away from where I am at Kennedy Space Center. Any other VAs out your way? Ever have VA get togethers? I'd love to join you. Thanks, Patty Passalacqua
  14. Did somebody mention withdrawals?? Today (Sunday) has been really strange. I felt my computer pulling me closer, and I kept hearing Tawnya's perky voice saying, "Welcome Everyone to the VA Virtuosos Seminars...", but when I went to the seminar room no one was there! Duh! Time to get on with my life. This wonderful week of comraderie, and learning new, fantastic things is over. Face it, Patty. You're on your own. But, no -- wait!! I have access to those fantastic webinars I can run anytime in the next three months, I have all the PowerPoint slides, and I have all the recordings!! All I have to do is download them all. I also have 35% off another year of VA Insiders -- not to mention that I can turn to the Forum as I have today, and meet back up with all my new and 'old' friends. On my own?? Never! Not with this support group we call VAnetworking behind me. Whew! Yes! I feel much better now. Thank you Tawnya for creating this wonderful meeting place where we can get direction, quality training, inspiration, and a caring shoulder. There is no other place like this one. You are truly a Blessing! Sincerely, Patty Passalacqua
  15. Yes, Dana. I'm happy that everything turned out so well, but that took a lot of 'guts', and also made my hair raise up on my neck. I'm hoping you have 2 rottweilers and a sumo wrestler living with you. He seems very aggressive, so prepare yourself that he most likely will continue that behavior. Please keep us posted. Patty P
