  1. Candy, I'm new in the business and wondered what system you are currently using now that six years have passed. Or, what would be the best for me starting out, not knowing Quickbooks. Someone suggested the Dome handwritten book, but I've been working with Excel for years and just can't see putting numbers down manually. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you, Patty P Marino Virtual Partners 32-759-3520
  2. Did somebody mention withdrawals?? Today (Sunday) has been really strange. I felt my computer pulling me closer, and I kept hearing Tawnya's perky voice saying, "Welcome Everyone to the VA Virtuosos Seminars...", but when I went to the seminar room no one was there! Duh! Time to get on with my life. This wonderful week of comraderie, and learning new, fantastic things is over. Face it, Patty. You're on your own. But, no -- wait!! I have access to those fantastic webinars I can run anytime in the next three months, I have all the PowerPoint slides, and I have all the recordings!! All I have to do is download them all. I also have 35% off another year of VA Insiders -- not to mention that I can turn to the Forum as I have today, and meet back up with all my new and 'old' friends. On my own?? Never! Not with this support group we call VAnetworking behind me. Whew! Yes! I feel much better now. Thank you Tawnya for creating this wonderful meeting place where we can get direction, quality training, inspiration, and a caring shoulder. There is no other place like this one. You are truly a Blessing! Sincerely, Patty Passalacqua
  3. Dana, I love working with Excel and think I would prefer that over the others (that I have yet to try). Do you have everything all on one sheet, or is one sheet for hours, one for pricing, and do you have separate sheets for each client? Thanks, Patty One spreadsheet has everything. Column 1: Date Column 2: Client Column 3: Task Performed Column 4: Total Hours Column 5: Adjustment to total hours (like if I knock off some time for some reason) Column 6: Adjusted total hours Column 7: Expenses I so a simple formula to add columns 4, 5 & 6 Then when I'm ready to give an update, I just sort the spreadsheet by client, copy the client, dump it into a new spreadsheet, and send it to the client after I add a line at the top that shows beginning hours, if necessary. Dana, Do you mean to say you subtract 5 from 4 to get 6? Where do you actually show what he's being charged? Which expenses go into the Expenses column? Thanks again, Patty
  4. Hi Dana, This seems like a good way to go without having to learn any new software. I'm definitely going to give it a try as it seems very user friendly and I do love my friend, Excel. I thank you so much, and do hope you get to enjoy some of the weekend. We may be the only two on here this w/e. Sincerely, Patty

  6. Hi Danielle and Tawnya, I was excited to support Danielle by purchasing the valuable Keyword Download which I did purchase today. I received an error message though and was not allowed to access the download. Please send me the download when you get a minute. Also, how do I access/use the Bonus mentioned here? Thank you so much for that! Sincerely, Patty Marino
  7. Thanks a bunch, Patty. I'm sure this will be very helpful. Hopefully, my lawyer will be 'up' on this sort of thing, as well.
  8. Patty, I'm not a lawyer, I don't play one on tv, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn express last night, so you should consult someone who actually went to law school and passed the bar to be sure. IMHO, you don't necessarily need to create an LLC first - I will eventually form a LLC but for now I am operating under my name "dba" 25th Hour Assistants. You may need to file a DBA form with your county recorder. It's going to depend on what the laws are wherever you are. Thanks, AmandaB. I was just looking for what most of the members were doing. 9. I'm wondering if I need to create an LLC before I start my website and business cards. In other words, does the business have to be registered and legal first, before any other steps are taken? Any help with these types of legal questions is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, Patty M
