  1. Ruth Moore Callejas I would love to win the Lenovo M90z all-in-one Think Centre because I am rebuilding and revamping my business from the ground up. Although I use Ubuntu a Linux based OS having this system would allow me to be able to use open source and proprietary programs to give my clients the best service possible. So now with fingers crossed I wait patiently to see if lady luck will shine on me and my business. Thanks Tanya for this great opportunity, and good luck to all.
  2. I know you said you had a tutorial, but here is another that walks you through the XAMMP and WordPress installation. Julst take your time and keep at it, I think I recall that it took me three tries to get everything working properly. Also as stated earlier make sure that XAMMP is running. Hope this helps and good luck.
  3. Hi If you open your XAMPP file folder you will see the htdocs folder, this is where you should extract the WordPress 2.7 files/folders. Hope this helps.
  4. Twitter LinkedIn Since the seminar on Facebook I am working on my facebook account will add later. Ruth Callejas Admin & Moore
  5. Hi Myrlene You might want to checkout Express Scribe. The best part is it's free. Ruth
  6. Hi All This challenge is just what I need. I been looking for a partner to start exercising with and this support group will fit the bill. Now as far as what I intent to do, walk for 20 minutes each day, drink more water (its not my favorite beverage) and start cutting out the chocolate and chips. I can live without chocolate. Okay, no more excuses I'm going to finish this post and go walking for 20 minutes. Good luck to all. Ruth
  7. Brett, I'm not a moderator either, but this sounds like it would be great training for one of the Wednesday night seminars. You can then record it for training those who can't attend. My Ruth Moore Callejas Admin & Moore Business Solutions
  8. Hi Bobbi, Welcome to VANA! There is a lot of information here so take your time and enjoy.
  9. Hi De'ann, Glad you brought this up, having the same problem for different reasons. I used my last name in my business name and really like it, but lo and behold just as Rebecka said the unexpected came about and my husband and I are divorcing. Even though I really like my business name and how easy it is to say, I am now debating if it will be better to change it or keep it the same. The problem is that since I already have a business name finding a new one that I like and that sounds good seems to be twice as hard as it was the first time around. Good luck De'ann in your search for a new business name.
  10. Hi, LaMiesha, I think you will find the answers you are looking for here. Hope this helps clear up the confusion.
  11. Hi Everyone Sorry I haven't been around much lately, trying to keep the business going in the right direction and get to the bottom of a health problem that has been bothering me for 3 or 4 years. Well they have finally put a name to it 'Epstein Barr Virus 'or Syndrome'. The information I have been able to find on this is very conflicting. If anyone can provide me with some info on this disease and especially alternative diets would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Hi, This is one of the hardest parts of starting your own business. Most of us don't have the capital to just up and put everything together so we have to think outside of the box. I have done things like saving all of my change each day, and you would be surprised how fast it adds up. Start with what is free then as your finances allow you can expand. I suggest attending a Chamber of Commerce "Meet & Greet" you can usually attend one of these without being a member. Networking is a great way to get the word out about your new business and what you do. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day, so you don't have to do everything at once and you don't need all the bells and whistles to start.
  13. Hi Kim, I'm from Virginia too, the good old Eastern Shore. Enjoy VANA has a lot to offer.
  14. Thanks for all the kudos, they really helped because I was so nervous about this first client. Things are going well and it looks like this may lead to a few more clients. Wish me luck, will keep you posted.
