  1. 1) Periscope - is a game changer, it's an amazing platform to interact and engage with people in real time, not only can you quickly build the know, like and trust factor, but it's also great for finding your community, being supported, getting coached and converting leads into sales, which is really the goal in social media. 2) Webinars - here's a quote by @Amber_Aziza that I've heard on Periscope "give away your knowledge for free so that they will pay for your services". Webinars provide an opportunity to showcase your expertise and the value you have to offer potential clients. Webinars can be free or low cost. 3) Joint training - is great for blab.im* or a #passthecast* Periscope broadcast, this is a joint effort where two or more speakers bring their audiences together. By collaborating with the right people, you can show your educate and build your audience at the same time. Here's a tip that's worked well for me - engage even if you are not the one scoping. Many times when I have been on a scope I've interacted with the broadcaster and the audience. By engaging with others I've already started to build a following, I've also made invaluable and profitable connections. If you're not already on Periscope, you should check it out. *Blab.im is similar to Periscope except there are two to four people on air at the same time. There is live audience participation and anyone can "call in" to an open seat. *#passthecast is when a group or tribe, like #perigirls for example, speaks for a limited amount of time, like 10-15 minutes, then pasts the cast or audience over to the next scheduled broadcaster once they go live.

I think beginning by offering general admin services is a great way to get started however as Janine mentioned it would be beneficial to determine who your target market is going to be. Once you have chosen your target market you can then focus on marketing specifically to them. Here’s some additional advice: Know your why – this is the reason you started your VA business, you’ll need to refer to this on the days you feel discouraged Schedule your time – you’ll be more productive, use a planner or the calendar on your phone Use online tools and resources – including the numerous resources found in this forum, this will save you time and increase your knowledge base as a new VA

As Mark mentioned, I would definitely register the domain asap. As for your niche, if you can determine what you are passionate about that help in finding your niche.
