  1. Hi. I want to participate in this Fr-ee training for tomorrow May 2 2013. However, I am at work still during this time. Please email me link (when it is available) to the recorded webinar. thanks so much. --- Also is there still seats available for the May 6 to 10? is it $27 still? how do I pay for this? Thanks, Peggy
  2. Recently I actually found a really good one. I then moved and lost my printout. Does anybody know of one? Help, if you can? Thanks, PS. You're all so helpful!
  3. Does anybody know if there is a good/inexpensive way to learn Quick Books?
  4. Thanks everybody for your support. You're great. I've actually looked at some of your posts, and found a lot of valuable information there. So appreciate your comments!
  5. Kimmer, Great to hear from you and the many great people here. I'm not overwhelmed by having a business, because I had a successful office business in Canada. This was before my moving back to the US. However, I've no idea how to find legitimate work over the net, since there is are so many scams out there. Anyway, the site my husband is creating is www.officepremier.com Its under construction, so beware. He did web design for many years. He does have another website he did for us, but I'm not sure if its up and running. I"ll ask him. If so, I'll let you see it too. Great idea for us to become a team, he and I. I'll do a search for where to find jobs. However, where does one find work? Are there any good job boards for VA's? I found one, but not sure where it is, after our recent move. Peggy
  6. I'm new to this forum. How do we know when there is a reply to our posts? Also, how do we see all the threads and posts for a given forum? I accidentally posted two posts of the same one. How do I delete one?
  7. I was into office work for years, but since 1997 have been into retail. I'm really wanting to get back into office work, that I love doing. Also my husband was in WordPerfect/Novell for 17 years, before being laid off. Currently he's working as a cook. He and I would love to get back into our fields, but maybe this time work from home. We really would like help as to WHERE to find jobs, job boards, where to promote ourselves, etc. What about training, certification? What about funding to help in training and certs? How do we transfer needed work (ie/invoices, etc) and completed work between ourselves and our clients? What types of charges should we be looking at for our customers? Any suggestions for promo-gifts to help build our business? ie/ discounts, etc? What about if people visit our website, then refer others to us, should we give a discount to our original client? How do we get people to trust us? What about promotion? My husband is a Web Designer, so has made us a website. Please, any help you can give us would be awesome! We're buffaloed, yet have a vision!

  9. Could we have a forum for where to obtain certifications, training? Also information on what types of certificates and training are recommended to be recognized by potential clients. For training, we need to know where we can get specific VA training. Also upgrading skills type of training would be awesome. For Associations, a list of VA Associations that are recommended and their descriptions. Is there funding available to help with training and business startup? Suggestions, hints, helps?
  10. As office people who would like to become a VA, many of us don't know how to begin. We have the dream, vision and perserverence, but...then what? Could we have a forum where practising VA's tell us step by step how to become a successful VA, suggestiions, dos & don'ts? Also, another of my personal questions is about how I exchange work between myself and my customer. For example, how would I get invoices, receipts, etc from a customer I'm doing bookkeeping for?
  11. As a starting Va, many of us are completely lost as to how to find non-scam work. We also have no idea how to how to obtain this work. It would be super for us to share these sites with each other, and information about finding true office work.
