  1. Sorry for the late reply, I found them on several blogs I follow and am learning from. In their blogging tips some of them mentioned www.freeprivacypolicy.com, disclosurepolicy.org, and privacypolicies.com.
  2. I don't think I'll be selling any products in a long while, maybe in two years. I think I'll have a lawyer look over my policies in a year or so. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and want to make sure I have all the polices I need for my website and that everything will run smoothly. I'm interested in affiliate marketing and have read that you need a privacy policy and and a disclosure policy. I found a template generator for those two, I just need to work on my terms and conditions.
  3. I'm in the process of creating a privacy policy, terms of conditions, dislcaimer policy and disclosure policy. I wanted to know how does everyone else create their polices, do you use a free template or policy generator? Or do you create it yourself and have an attorney look it over before you have it on your own website? I looked for information on privacy policy in the search box but the information that came up is several years old and most of the links in them no longer work. Also, I am not sure this is the right place to post this topic but the older posts asked about policies in General Discussions.
  4. Thanks Tawnya, this really helps boost my confidence. That's one of the things I like about being a VA, that I can communicate through email or text. It's not that I'm trying to avoid everyone but most of the time I just don't know what to say or when to stop talking haha.
  5. The next step that I need to take in my VA business is overcoming my shyness and fear of both succeeding and failing as a va. These held me back last year but I'm not going to let them hold me back anymore. I even have my own website now, but I'm still working on it before it goes live.
  6. I like using Grammarly too, especially when I am working with transcription. Another app I like to use is Forest, it's a cute productivity app.
  7. Thanks for the information and links I'll check them out soon. This will be very helpful when I sign up for other freelancer websites. When I was on Upwork I had to do something similar to this, but after recently hearing some negative news about the website I'm not going to do anything on there for a while until there is some improvement there.
  8. I'm new at working online from home and am trying my virtual assistant services at Upwork. I know very little about taxes and wondering if anyone is or have worked at Upwork knows what "before withdrawing funds, all non-U.S. persons must provide their W-8Ben tax information" means. Do I have to submit a form of some type? Are there any reputable websites that I can look at about tax information besides Canadian Revenue Services? Any help is a appreciated.
  9. Hello my name is Leah a aspiring successful entrepreneur. I don't have a website yet but will have one eventually I heard about this website from several blogs I follow and joined to learn more to become a virtual assistant.
