  1. Hi Patty, When using a special font inside any email broadcast program, you can use special fonts but the only way each recipient would see it would be to create an image of what she wants the font used for. Unfortunately if you use the special font inside the CSS in the email, it will not show within everyone's email program. When I have a client who requires a special font, I create an image of the what it needs to say using the font, then save it to their server or 1sc and insert the image link into the email campaign. This currently the only way I have found to work best. Hope this helps and if you need any further assistance please let me know. Michelle Medd
  2. Deneen, I just sent you an email regarding this. Please let me know if you don't receive it. Michelle Medd
  3. Hi Deneen, I highly recommend checking out Form Assembly for your clients need. I have been using this program for 3 years now and it will do everything you need it to. They do have a free version but I am not sure the free version would work with your client needs. You may have to look at the paid versions. If you go forward with this program and need help in setting it up please let me know as I would be more than happy to help. Michelle Medd
  4. Terri, I have not personally used WAHMCart, but other people have said that it was a great program. One recommendation I have is iContact. It is only $9.95 per month, and when she imports her list they do not need to optin again as long as they have given permission previous. The other features of iContact are: survey creation, published newsletter archive, autoresponders, blogging/RSS feeds. I wish you luck with finding the perfect software/program for your client to use. Michelle Medd
  5. You are using 1sc for this code? If so, there is a much easier way to generate the code you need for this. Contact me and I will walk you through the steps to properly set this up and working. Michelle Medd
  6. Welcome Aimee to the forum! I am glad to see that you finally took the leap and introduced yourself here. This is a great forum for learning all about our industry and the members here are great for answering all your questions to help you get started. The best advice I can offer you at this point is to read through the forums and start networking. I wish you the best of success with getting your new VA business off the ground! Michelle Medd
  7. Hi Janet, Congratulations on the new client. As for a software to access the client's computer I use a program called Teamviewer which is free. I have used it now for about 6 months and I absolutely love it. It has a lot of features and I use it with all my clients. The website is www.teamviewer.com I am sure others will chime in with their opinion and what they use so please choose one that works best for you and your client. Michelle Medd
  8. Karen, There is many issues that could be happening. But if you would like to send me the HTML document I would be glad to take a look and fix for you. Michelle Medd
  9. Candy! I started laughing so hard when I read the title of this post because I know I am the guilty one! I have since taken this off my site and will not be putting this back on there. As for giving me credits, I think I will pass only because this is not how I want to present my business image. As for where it came from, it was from BoxedArt.com so I am not sure what the rights are. You can check them out at www.boxedart.com for more information. Thanks Candy for the reminder of this "Lady of Doom" image and allowing me to have a good laugh again. Michelle Medd
  10. When I create a test broadcast in 1shoppingcart, here is how I complete it. I do hope this helps you and if you have any further questions I would be glad to help. 1. setup the broadcast 2. do a search for your clients name under the searh, edit and add client section (make sure your clients name is in the database first) 3. Once the record comes up, at the bottom under Hitlist Action, select create a stored search 4. Name the stored search something like "test" 5. Now go back to your broadcast and at the top select the Stored Search Tab and choose the "test" you just created. 6. Hit send and it will send it to your client as a test before sending to the whole database. I wish you the best of luck with this and it is fairly simple create. You can even add your name to the stored search so you can receive them to. Michelle Medd
  11. Thank you both for replying to my cry for help. I did end up getting this to work out properly and I just think it was too late at night for me to use my brain. What happened: I entered in the form and product in the side bar and kept viewing the preview; however, on the preview it was showing the sidebar down below the main content area. I then spent about 2 hours playing with the code to get it to be perfect but nothing was working. Then I realized maybe I will just save the actual HTML file and check it online using the exact URL, THIS WORKED!!! Next I know just to hit the SAVE button and check the page rather than previewing. Thanks again,
  12. Ok, so here I am working late on some client but I have run into some trouble with the coding. My client has asked me to put in their newsletter sign up form on their Blogger.com blog, and I tried to do this. But I ran into trouble because once I put it into the right hand side column (sidebar), it shifted the sidebar down to the end of the posts and makes an extremely long page. Please Help!!! I am not sure what I did wrong and have checked the coding multiple times with no luck Thanks,
  13. I don't really have any recommendations on which software your client should use for this, but I have listed some shopping carts below that may be of interest. FREE AgoraCart Mal's Ecommerce osCommerce These carts are open source software and will require your client to install it on their web server. These are a little more difficult to setup. Vstore Vstore is kind of my favorite for an option that is free. It is a completely free store and very easy to setup; however, they require you to have a yourstore.vstore.ca, yourstore.mywebhome.ca or yourstore.weblodge.net FREE sub-domain storefront internet address. PAID 1shoppingcart The cheapest option for a package through 1shoppingcart is $29 per month; however, it doesn't give you the option of an autoresponder. I hope some of this information will help you and your client. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me. I will be glad to offer assistance. Thanks,
