  1. Hello! I am building my website (my first!) and am looking for free cool buttons, pics and stuff. Does anyone know where I can find free software to create my own or a site offering free buttons and stuff? Thanks
  2. Thank you Michelle. It's great to meet you as well. I'm sure I will be contacting you guys for advice and guidance. Thanks again!
  3. Good! The Garden District is a great place to stay. You will be far away from the Bourbon Street party noise. It’s like any other place, you really can't see everything in one weekend, but, you will have fun. Try to stay away from the tourist traps; you will be able to spot them. We have a whole lot of great places to eat that are kid friendly and not to expensive. Be sure to get a Muffaletta either at the Central Grocery or at Franks Restaurant on Decatur Street. It’s festival time here so there is most likely something going on. My favorite festival is the French Quarter fest; lots of great food and music at every corner. I think it’s the last week in April though. Have fun and I hope y’all come back again and again. Let me know if there is anything specific you want to see and I will try my best to help.
  4. Hi Julie and welcome! I had a best friend named Julie and nicknamed Jules once online who disappeared into thin air who I truly miss and your post gave me some wonderful memories today and thanks! But back to your questions, there is a discounted limited offer happening on the VAC right now if you order the Deluxe version since you will get over $500 in extra goodies with it including the VAinsider membership everyone is raving about. You can read more of what it includes here: Deluxe VAC (Virtual Business Startup System) Great to have you here and surf around reading posts, its a great place full of knowledge from many others just like you! Tawnya Thanks Tawnya! Sorry to hear about missing your friend, however, I'm glad that my post prompted great memories for you today. That’s always a nice thing. I appreciate you replying to my post and I want to let you know I'm ordering the VAC right now. Thanks again! I look forward to future correspondence.
  5. Thanks a bunch for the tip! You will have a great time here in New Orleans, even after Katrina. If it rains, it most likely won’t be for long and if it is, there will still be something for you and your family to do. As a native coming back trying to rebuild our lives, I thank you for visiting our wonderful little city. Yes, it has it's craziness (politics), but, it's a place I grew up and as an adult fell in love with. I think it's our heritage, history and some of our unique people. There is never a dull moment. Let me know what you are interested in and I may be able to help you locate something you would like to do while you’re here. I would suggest having coffee (or chocolate milk for the kids) and beignets at Café du Mode. We have a Children’s Museum, The Audubon Zoo and Aquarium and of course the French Market. I would not take my children down Bourbon Street at night. I feel that part of New Orleans is for adults only. Royal Street is filled with galleries and cool shops. Take a drive or stroll down Magazine Street where there are shops, unique boutiques and cool little hole in the wall places, or take a street car ride down St. Charles Ave. I hope you have a wonderful time while you are here and tell your friends and family to visit as well. Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!! Julie
  6. There are tons of things to do here in New Orleans! It's festival time so there is bound to be something fun going on in and around New Orleans. We have the Audubon Zoo, The Aquarium, the Children’s Museum and the French Market to name a few. Visit www.nola.com to find out what's happening at the time you will be coming. Have fun and Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!
  7. Hello, I live in New Orleans Louisiana and am about to embark on my Virtual Assistant career. I'm very excited about it. I've been an Executive Assistant to Sr. VPs and Presidents of companies for approximately 12 years now. Recently, my company went through a "restructuring", which means a lay off of a few of us. Now that this has happened, and with the economy being what it is in our “post Hurricane Katrina world”, I need to regain control of my own future so I have decided to start my own business doing what I love to do. I would like to purchase the VAC; can anyone tell me if there is a discount for VANetworking members? Thank you for your help! Julie
