  1. Well, it depends on what you are designing. For professional design, I use use Illustrator to create vector artwork, InDesign for any kind of page layout, whether it be a flyer, postcard, brochure or a book. if you are sending design work off to a professional printer, you need to have professional design tools. For web design work I use Photoshop. These are by no means cheap and have quite a steep learning curve. there are free alternatives to some of them; Gimp and others - no idea how easy or not they are to learn. if you are just designing for desktop printers, you can get by using Microsoft products, Word and Publisher, which now have pretty cool graphics capability. Hope that helps.

  8. ooh I have smartpen, hubby bought it for me. It is truly AMAZING! I think EVERY student should have one. I've been using it for classes I am taking, and I don't know about you but I find that when I take notes, they are not the most legible, or make much sense a day or two after the class. Now I can just touch my scribbles with the pen and hear exactly what the instructor was saying at the moment I wrote the scribble. It has been invaluable! It comes with it's own special notebooks, I use a different one for each class, and the pen can tell which book is which, and like was said before it can all be uploaded to your computer when you get back home. Truly amazing!! Can't say enough good things about it.
  9. Hi Beth and welcome. Really, only 17 times for something to become a habit? That seems like it should be easy enough to commit to exercising 17 times - think I might give it a try.
  10. Hi Janet and welcome. Looking forward to gettting to know you.
  11. OUCH! You poor, poor thing!! That is a dreadful story, and it sounds like you were not well looked after at all! I do hope you are soon fixed up and free of pain.
