Testimonial Raves ...We received over 35 responses to our posting
on Virtual Assistant Networking for a VA. There were so many
qualified candidates that responded within hours of our posting.
I believe we made the right decision in hiring a VA with years
of experience and a wonderful personality! Thank you so much
for having this forum for Virtual Assistants." Just like any other Friday, I thought
everything was well taken care of in my office services business
and I was ready to head off to Bellingham with my kids to go
shopping. Just as I am getting ready to go out the door I receive
this e-mail message from my French translator: "Sorry but
I can't do the translation that I was supposed to have ready
for Monday morning, you better find someone else.” Panic!!!
Where was I going to find a French translator at 2:30 on a Friday
afternoon that will have a translation ready for Monday morning?
There was no way that I could do it since "Mercy"
is as fluent as I am in French. Panic!!! Panic!!! I finally
came to my senses and went to the VAnetworking.com and posted
a RFP Help!!! I immediately found a French/ English translator
ready to start working within minutes of posting my RFP. The
work was professional, on time (Saturday evening), just great!!!!!

VANetworking. This is a site by VAnetworking (Virtual Assistant Networking
Association). I went and submitted a request for proposal (RFP)
where they will then, in turn, post on their forum of VAs. I
got just as many bids (if not more) from VANetworking as I did
from Elance. The big thing to keep in mind is that most of the
bids you will get from here are American. That means they cost
more. Most of the bids I had were coming in anywhere from $20/hour
to $40/hour. But, the quality of the bids was significantly
higher than Elance. These women (and most of them were indeed
women) really knew their stuff and offered good detail to me
in their proposals. I even had a great VA bid who had an office
in Tampa - only about a half hour from me...Read
