My name is Molly and I am a total control freak!
I love my business and truly believe that I am really good at it!ย However, the success Iโve had comes with a price.ย And that price is the toll itโs taken on my other business โ managing myself and my household.
My husband has begged me to start hiring subcontractors to help with my business.ย Isnโt this a no-brainer for most?ย Hire someone to help with the work, market and retrieve more business and in the end โ make more money.ย Isnโt this the way itโs supposed to be?ย For some reason this has been one of the most difficult decisions Iโve ever had to make for my business.ย I trust absolutely NOBODY.ย And because of this โ my business and my personal life have become so overwhelming that I am bound to fail at something.ย ย And as of late, itโs my personal to-do list.
I admit, I have a ton on my plate.ย Iโm a business owner, a stay at home mom, a wife and a manager of my household.ย My days consists of client calls, client work, carpools, playdates and most recently wiping running noses, cuddling a feverish child and cleaning (okay not really the cleaning part but Iโll just pretend.ย Sounds good, right? J).ย I have absolutely no time to market for new business, take care of my personal bills, exercise and paperwork etc.ย My sleep has even been affected because I am working late into the night.ย Hello?ย What happened to work / life balance?ย Isnโt this why a large percentage of us left the corporate world?
Being a mom and wife cannot be delegated.ย Either can exercise (I wish), being healthy or much needed sleep.ย However, the rest of it can.
November is here.ย A new month, a new bill cycle, a new start and I am ready to challenge myself.ย I am letting go of my fears and starting the process of hiring someone to help.ย I am ready to DELEGATE (a word this entrepreneur really dislikes)!
